JEDI-CON 2010-Fan-Stände und -Präsentationen 

Activities for Everyone!

 

What would the saga without its fans, without the people who actively devote their time to all aspects of the galactic saga? At JEDI-CON 2010, we are once again proud to welcome a variety of groups showcasing their hobby to con guests both large and small., making their passion for Star Wars something to be seen, heard, and touched first-hand.

 

The following groups (in alphabetical order) are already* on board:

 

German Base Yavin

The "German home" for supporters of the Light Side is part of the worldwide operating Rebel Legion. At the booth we will present selfmade costumes and accessories (e.g. Jedi comlinks, bags, lightsaber hilts etc.). Furthermore, our members give information on their club's life and their support of Magnus Müller's Mission Orange (charity project) via flyers, Powerpoint presentations, costume photo albums and more.

German Garrison

The German subsidiary of the world-wide 501st Legion organisation will be represented in full force, giving fascinating insights into the world's largest Star Wars costume club - so be prepared to ask yourselves "Who let the troops out?"

German Speaking Fan Force

"Cookie Wheel" (answer Star Wars questions and win Wookiee Cookies), bounty hunter game for grown-ups (where con attendees hunt each other down), "Camp Mando" for kids (helmet building, Mando language class, bounty hunt, souvenir photo), reading sessions with home-made Star Wars picture books, graphic novels for adults, board games on site or on loan complete with game master, and colouring books with children's art competition.

Jedipedia

The German Star Wars Wiki team invites you to surf Jedipedia live on site (via projector) and presents a massive Star Wars-related quiz.

Krayt Riders

The Dortmund "Krayt Riders" are a fan meet that make neutrality its watchword. Here, you can find Jedi, rebels or bounty hunters with and without costumes.
A wealth of activities will be available and posted on a big billboard on site - watch out for treats like "trooper bowling".

Mint In Box

Our Belgian friends have built a web portal that's all about Star Wars collecting, and they will present rare exhibits and interesting information at their stall as well as give an overview of previous activities.

Order Of The Force

Germany's major "Jedi community" presents pictures and movies of their various fan gatherings, shows videos on lightsaber training and fighting, showcases individual members in a photo album and offers a rare glimpse into the "Jedi Temple House Rules". Members will be lavishly costumed and presenting their fan film project Jedi-Recon.

R2 Builders Club

The heart of the world-wide Builders' stall will be a variety of life-size replicas of various R2 units. Equipped with light and sound effects, these note-perfect droids are sure to bring a smile to the faces of fans of all ages.

Rebellenstützpunkt

This is where collectors come to enjoy. Action figures and dioramas will be on display (vintage, neo and custom), and videos of meetups and activities complete the picture. Another highlight is a pair of oversized backcards in the style of a German "48back card". The presentation's focal points will be "30 years of The Empire Strikes Back" and "Back to real" (meeting fans "face to face" and not just anonymously via the Internet).

Saberproject

Anything you ever wanted to know about lightsabers: FX sabers from Master Replicas, Hasbro's newest FX sabers, Hasbro/MR sabers customised with "High Power LEDs", Plecterlabs Soundboards, special blades for "High Power LEDs", Custom sabers with "High Power LEDs" and new electronics, stunt sabers with and without function, one-off pieces such as Mara Jade's saber as a Luxeon FX model, FX bags, various accessories and spare parts, a variety of videos on display, at least two prize draws, mini lightsabers, LE sabers, radio-controlled systems for special sound boards and many more intriguing facts about lightsabers!
And to top it all off: a new stage show as well!
